When the Mammoth Lakes Foundation was founded in 1989, Eastern Sierra high school grads and residents didn't have local options for continued education. Cerro Coso had been offering classes wherever they could find space, usually at the high school or in empty conference rooms.
Current & Upcoming Events
The Mammoth Lakes Foundation has awarded over 350 scholarships for higher education to local students since 2003. This fall alone 16 students received scholarships with more in line to receive them in the spring(2011/12).
