We are seeking a Scholarship Coordinator to administer our scholarship and mentoring program for local students attending Cerro Coso Community College. Also responsible for performing general office tasks under the direction of the Executive Director and Board. Full-time, hourly position in a small organization. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with community college students and our mission to support higher education and cultural enrichment in the Eastern Sierra.

The position is primarily responsible for administering the Foundation's "Dave's Scholars" program for prospective and current students to support their academic goals at Cerro Coso Community College - Mammoth Lakes campus as well as providing general administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

The Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for general office tasks including, but not limited to: processing deposits and credit card transactions for a variety of activities, particularly donations; donor data entry and generating donor reports, creating thank you letters and receipts, responding to general inquiries, and supporting development and communications campaigns under the direction of the Executive Director.

The Scholarship Coordinator supports the Mammoth Lakes Foundation Board of Directors, including preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes. The Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with scheduling use of the facilities in Edison Hall.

The position is crucial to the Mammoth Lakes Foundation and requires initiative, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail, and sound office and communications skills. A background in secondary or higher education is highly desirable. Spanish language skills are a plus.

A strong, working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with administering social media platforms, Constant Contact, WIX, and DonorPerfect or equivalent programs is recommended.

 

This is a full-time, hourly office position consisting of a 40-hour work week. Pay commensurate with experience and nonprofit scale. The Mammoth Lakes Foundation offers paid time off, paid holidays, up to 50% of a medical plan for the employee, and a meaningful work environment.
